Experiencia negativa: If I could leave zero stars, I would. Paid the deposit at 5:16p 9/2 for a trip on 9/23 (21 days, 3 weeks away). I requested cancellation at 7:59a 9/3 (no contract signed by either parties) as the company lied about the flexibility to change the date on their website after we paid the deposit (see website snip below). Note, they have a different set of policies once you book vs what's on their website. With Sept being rainy season, we wanted to book closer to when we would arrive and could gage the weather. We were totally planning to rebook with them, initially. Website says the cancellation policy is “full refund within 24 hrs of booking if request is made 14 days before start of experience”. Even the formal policy said I could "request withdrawal within 5 working days". In addition, their quote said, “reservation will only be considered valid once contract is signed by both parties." I’ve included all the photos of the quote, policy, website and conversation. Now they are saying “no refunds” while sending me a policy that allows for refunds. I decided to just dispute the charge through my bank. BUYER BEWARE, not a good company to spend your money!

The yacht was on time, beautiful, clean, and the captain and stewardess were fantastic. Of exceptional note however, was the quality of service provided by the team at Colombia Luxury Group. Experiencia positiva: The crew and responsiveness was great. However they didn’t let us know that the boat would take 8hrs on sea (4 hours each way) to get to Rosario islands (on a regular boat it takes 1hour). They said they assumed I’d know about the speed of boats because I picked a sail boat catamaran, but I’m sure most people who book boats aren’t boating experts. In conversation I had also said the timelines I assumed would make sense (i.e. leave at 8 so we can snorkel at 9, get to island at 10 etc) and no one told me that wouldn’t work because leaving at 8 meant we’d arrive at 12. We also didn’t order food nor drinks for boat due to assumption of shorter ride. I recommend this company for its service, just please make sure you are aware of timing!

Experiencia negativa: Sketchy company! Told them I was seeking a 41ft boat and they told me they had one for a cheaper price then I was looking for. After some research, I find out its actually 34ft boat! Not a company I would give my money to. There are tons of other companies around!

Experiencia negativa: CRUISE EXCURSION: I am happy to provide proof of all texts as proof of this review......I booked a private boat with water/beer to take my family (11 people ages 18-75) to a private island. We were to have water/beer on the boat, ham sandwiches, fruit and other snacks. On the island, we were promised beach chairs (for the older people) so they can relax while the "kids" (ages 18-22) fly board and jet ski. I was given a quote of $1,000 USD for the boat/beach/food/snacks and $500 for the all day "water sports" package of fly board/jet ski/ snorkel. So $1,500 USD total. I was told the package is from 9am to 5pm. I said we are on a cruise ship (MSC DIVINA) so lets meet at 10am and plan a 5 hour excursion, so head back to boat by 3pm. I still agreed to the $1,500 USD rate. They sent me a link to pay in COP (their currency) through PayU (like PayPal). I SHOULD HAVE checked the amount, but did not. My credit card showed up as $1,623 USD. I questioned it and was told that is the fees and taxes. I explained we agreed to $1500, so they agreed to do a refund and charge me $900 in PayU, then pay $600 in US Cash after the tour. I agreed. The next link (I did not learn my lesson) showed up as $998. They said, those are the fees. So I said I will pay $500 on the island. Lets fast forward. A few days before, I confirm our reservation. They say all is good. I DID NOT get my $1623 back on my credit card, they told me it is 90 DAYS to get a refund. (I am currently disputing this with my credit card company). They said not to worry, I will get the money back and they will take great care of us for our tour. The DAY of the tour (December 31, 2019) we get a text asking to share our location at 9am. I do & we get off the ship at 9:50 and try to contact them....for AN HOUR!!! Finally they respond and say they were at the wrong port, but are on their way......we wait. They show up around 11:30 by boat....which was very nice and as promised.....BUT no water or beer. Melanie, who was my contact, was not on the boat and NO ONE spoke any English. No problem...let's head to a beach, maybe beer and water are there. I get a text that since we lost 1.5 hours, we need to change the itinerary. We are heading to a hotel with a beach. Water, beer, food will be there. We get there.....they DO NOT let us park! No reservation. They say "Cartagena is full" and boat staff argue in spanish, we leave. I get a text, we will try another beach. We drive around....go to a SUPER PACKED area. We park. It smells like fumes from all the boats. Highlight....we get beer and water and fruit. We leave for another area (it is now 1pm). We can't park there either. I ask (via text) what is happening. They say "Please pay the $600". I say we have not seen a beach, not had sandwiches, not went jet skiing nor have we seen a fly board. We are told Cartagena is full and they can't get me that, but we had an agreement and I need to pay. REMIND YOU....I still do not have the $1623 back, I paid another $998. They say we can flyboard after we pay, but we only have 2 hours left of the tour. They say the fly board takes 1 hour. I say were promised all day jet ski and fly board. (I have every text saved). We ask to go back to the boat since it was a disaster. They said they will not me off the boat until I give them $600 (but we agreed to $1500 with the water sports) and I paid $998. After arguing, they say pay for food (fruit) water and beer. I say it was included. They say it is not and I need to pay for gas. I ended up threatening to call the US Military ship parked near the dock (husband is military) and they FINALLY took us to the pier and let us off the ship. CROOKS!!! I did tip the drivers of the boat (not their fault) and I will not dispute the $998 on my credit card, but we DID NOT have the tour we were promised. BEWARE!!

Experiencia fantástica: Melanie and her team delivered a really nice 8 hours with a fair price. The boat was a speedboat with a 36 'console with its Captain who was too friendly with his partner. They offer an on-board menu from which I am impressed with how we received it in beautiful Caribbean dishes, too many options to share on board. It is important to leave early in the day since the water is stirred in the afternoon. 1. Melanie provided us with water and snorkel masks, but you probably also want to bring your own supplies. There are a couple of early stops with a good snorkel before the water is stirred later in the day. It is advisable to see the plane, in that area it is quiet to be able to mask without boats from one side to the other passing. 2. The boat had an impeccable bathroom. 3. In several of the stops there are places to "help" or sell things. This began in the water where we anchor for snorkeling and continue all day. It can't be helped, it's just part of the culture, so offer them a friendly "no thanks" and they will move on. 4. Our lunch stop was on a quiet private hotel beach with a public beach right next to it. Although private, it really isn't, since the locals freely walk through the sand and try to sell their goods and services along with the hotel employees. 5. We return to Cartagena with a smile that reflects from our hearts for such a beautiful day and beautiful sunset that will bring us back to the beautiful Walled.

Experiencia fantástica: Loved our experience at Colombia flyboard. The team was extremely nice and professional. We took 1h jetski + flyboard. They really help you understand how to use the flyboard and have a lot of patience. I definitely recommend booking with this company.

Experiencia negativa: A tener en cuenta que la actividad es alejada de la playa por lo que los acompañantes no tienen ninguna posibilidad de ver a quien hace el flyboard, ni tomarle videos ni fotos. Ellos ofrecen entonces el servicio de fotos y videos (pues no queda otra alternativa). En nuestro caso pagamos pero nunca nos enviaron nada ni nos hicieron la devolucion del dinero, a pesar que reiteradamente reclamamos. Eso si, el instructor muy profesional y competente.

Experiencia negativa: Got there 15 minutes early, still waited about 40 minutes, which is not really a problem. However, the problem is, 30 minutes into our jet ski ride , the low fuel light came on, it started beeping non stop. There was one last bar on the fuel gauge that kept blinking as if the jet ski was going to run out of gas and leave us stranded. So I went back to the station, waited for about 20 minutes before they brought fuel out. The attendee came out and said “oh you can ride it like this for at least another hour”. How am I supposed to know that? Then I asked can we have the rest of the 30 minutes that we are owed (we only rode it for 30 minutes out of our one hour that we paid for) he said no. He also said since the jet ski could have ran another hour. So while I’m in the ocean, the fuel light goes on, starts beeping non stop, and the last fuel bar is blinking on and off, I’m supposed to know it has another hour left? I didn’t want to be stranded in the middle of the ocean so I felt the best thing to do was go back and refuel. No compensation was made. I don’t think that was professional.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently spent the weekend in Cartagena with a large group for a friend's birthday party. We wanted to spend a Saturday on the water. After doing some research I came across Colombia FlyBoard and decided to give them a call. Manolo, the owner of the company, could not have given us a better level of customer service and care. We told him our group's size and budget, and he was able to facilitate a beautiful day on the islands on a yacht, which proved to be an unforgettable experience. A few of us also took the FlyBoard package, which was ten times more fun than, say jet-skiing (take my word for it.) All in all great experience and I will definitely be contacting them again upon my next visit. Thank you guys!!
