He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and bars, gave us a nice walking tour, and most importantly kept us all safe. Anything we needed at any time of the day was provided immediately. From selecting the perfect house for 18, booking clubs, restaurants, boats, and making recommendations, nothing was too much. Even when I needed to make some last-minute changes, they were extremely accommodating. Everyone from Andy, our daily Concierge Cicer (6 stars if I could) and night security Fernando, was incredibly professional. If you ever need to do something as a group in Cartagena and don't want the headache of doing it all yourself, please use this company.

Arranged our house, yacht, personal concierge that helped grab house supplies and stayed with us all day and night which was a huge help. Communication with Andy was easy and he was quite responsive. There’s a reason why after talking with many other companies that I went with them and used again. Some of their services might be slightly more expensive but it’s worth it. I made the mistake of doing a couple of things the cheaper route this time and I paid for what I got, should’ve just stuck with Andy and the team

Experiencia fantástica: My crew planned to have a memorable long weekend for our closest friends’ bachelor weekend. There were ten of us that vacationed to Cartagena from New Jersey. Words can not express the meticulousness, concern and friendliness that Milton and Julian delivered to my crew. We had individuals with diet restrictions, they took care of that. We had questions about some of the structures in the area, they were able to provide a semi history lesson of the structures and their country without a moments notice. When we ventured to Cholon, Julian made sure we paid the appropriate prices and protected us from being taken advantage of by possible hustler. Lastly Milton had a charm to him that was extremely welcoming and was able to direct us to a night life that blended well with our culture in America. Going on vacation abroad can be stressful but please trust my review, Milton and Julian from Hi Cartagena will absolutely provide exceptional service. I hope this helps and please enjoy Cartegena.

Zajistila nám lístky na silvestrovský večer v podniku, v centru Cartageny a byl to nezapomenutelný zážitek. A dokonce i když jsem se na ní obrátil s takovou maličkostí jako na silvestra jestli by mi pro mojí manželku nemohla zařídit dort protože v ten den měla narozeniny tak i to vše zařídila a vše proběhlo velmi hladce a dort byl vynikající A ačkoliv jsme se probrali na poslední chvíli že by jsme chtěli Udělat výlet na 5 ostrovů v okolí Cartageny a vzhledem k tomu že byla nejvyšší sezóna, tak dokázala ačkoliv bylo takřka vše plné zařídit privátní loď a sama se této plavby zúčastnila, takže jsme měli možnost se seznámit a vše bylo příjemné. Takže ještě jednou velké díky a můžu jedině doporučit!

Experiencia fantástica: Hi Cartagena was ONCE AGAIN flawless. We’ve used them in the past on our trips to Cartagena and will certainly continue to so.

Experiencia negativa: I booked 3 services: walking tour, nightclub & private yacht. I paid >$5k, most of which was for the yacht (~$3.5k). My rating is due to the disappointing boat experience. I requested a partial refund given the number of issues which they did not provide. They offered me a 10% discount on future bookings. Pre-arrival experience was positive. Andy, our concierge, and was responsive and fast. Most of our trip was organized within 24 hours of contact. Our guides were punctual and reached out in advance. Boat: Our guide, Yamile, did not seem to know anything about our itinerary. She spent most of the time on her phone and even sleeping at one point. About an hour into the trip, I asked where we were going, and she said "Cholon." Cholon was specifically discussed as one of the areas we did not want to visit. Our boat route was documented in emails but not in the contract. We did none of the things that were planned. Management’s response: “Yamile the concierge for the day always had the best attitude to help the group. It was true that she was on the phone but she was always talking to Kate or to me to ensure all the details were as perfect as we could.” Absolutely nothing on the boat went according to plan so I’m still left scratching my head as to what Yamile was communicating on the phone and what she did for us. Our route included a stop at Pau Beach club but no reservation was made for us. This was another item that did not make it to the contract so per management it was not included. Delays: We paid for the boat for 8 hours (9-5 pm), however due to a late night asked for pickup at 10 am. While we were on the bus to the marina, Andy messaged me requesting names and passport numbers of all the guest. If this information was necessary, why was it not requested in advance? I spent the bus ride getting everyone’s passport info to Andy. Once we arrived at the marina, we waited for a while to get on the boat. Once on the boat, we sat there for another 45 minutes while the crew filled out the paperwork with the passport information. After our lunch stop, Yamile couldn’t contact the crew as they would not answer their phone. The staff at the restaurant had to wave and whistle to get the crew’s attention. We waited another 30 minutes for the crew to pick us up. So a significant chunk of our boat time was spent waiting around. Combine this with the fact that the boat route wasn’t followed, overall experience was sullied. Regarding the delays and not following the itinerary, management response was that the sea was very aggressive and the stops couldn’t be made and we were informed of this. The sea was not choppy, we were all perfectly fine. Yamile didn’t talk to us. None of the crew or chef spoke English. Management went further to say someone in our party threw up in the bathroom! The only people inside on the boat were the 5 staff. Snorkeling Issues: We paid extra for snorkeling, but the area we were taken there was nothing to see. Management’s response: “little pool is a zone of fresh clear water and the safer area so our clients can swim but we never sold it as an exploration area”. If it is not an exploration area, why not tell us in advance especially as we paid extra? Chef’s Error with Food: We paid extra for a chef on board and noted in the contract that we do not eat pork. However, all the sandwiches prepared by the chef contained pork. Management’s response “We talked with the chef and he guaranteed us that the sandwich had sirloin chicken fillet ham”. Ham is not pork?!?! La Movida nightclub: We paid $1000 for VIP bottle service which included 2 bottles of Grey Goose or Don Julio. We only received one bottle. I informed our guide for the nightclub that we needed our second bottle and she said they usually include just one bottle. I had to pull up the itinerary on the phone to show her and then we got our second bottle. Another example of the guide not knowing the itinerary and I’m relieved this was in the contract! Walking tour Our guide was informative, friendly and helpful.

Experiencia negativa: Do not book with this company. I had initially reserved a limo with this company for a group trip and ended up canceling the reservation two weeks before the trip after an unpleasant interaction with the owner of the company who refused to share her name with me. Per their cancellation policy, I was entitled to a full refund as long as the cancellation request was received 72 hours in advance. After submitting the cancellation and refund request, I heard nothing from the company and ended up speaking to the owner again. At which time she let me know that she/the company did not have the money to refund me and requested more time (to receive payment from other parties/people) to come up with money for the refund. I felt that this was ridiculous and filed a chargeback/dispute with my credit card in August 2024. Luckily, Chase provided me with a temporary credit and resolved the dispute in my favor on September 30, 2024.

The team had great communication from the first email we sent so we knew what to expect even before landing in Cartagena. Despite some logistical challenges on our end, the team remained flexible and committed to making sure we had a great evening. Chef Andy provided the best curated meal experience we have ever had. The freshest ingredients, complex flavours, and engaging storytelling of how culture and food has flourished in Columbia.

Experiencia negativa: Have to edit my last review. Did a wedding scouting trip and Andy made us many promises about the boat usage and tour. We believed him. He pressured us to pay in full. When we arrived, none of the things he promised were delivered (took a different route, poorer beaches, and allowed hustlers to *board the boat* and beg for money). Was pretty startling for the guests. To top it all off, two of the guests caught one of the crew members rifling through their bags. Money was missing when we got back to the dock.

Experiencia fantástica: My guests and I enjoyed our time at Eteka. The beach is spacious with lots of fun (including a spa, and swimming). Staff were professional, courteous and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. From the music (thanks so much Luis) to the food, even having a place to relax on the beach, we are really grateful to the entire team for everything. Would definitely recommend!

Experiencia negativa: Only gave 1/5 stars because there was not a 0/5 star option. Terrible experience with booking a trip to Makani Beach Club with Hi Cartagena. We were given a completely vague location as a meeting point. We were not able to get a hold of anyone from Hi Cartagena and it it weren’t for the kind personnel at the port we would have missed our trip. Horrible experience booking through Hi Cartagena, would not recommend to anyone. Will ensure that all of our friends and family avoids their services in the future.

Experiencia negativa: If there was zero star for this company, I would. 1. No information. There was not enough information about the trip, when/where/whom to meet. All they said is once you book, they will provide the information which they didn't. 2. I specifically asked if snorkeling gear will be included when I was booking the tour. They did say it's included. Right prior to the tour, they asked for 25USD per person for the snorkeling gear. When I brought it up that it was discussed to be included, then they said, "ok. ok. it's included." 3. They asked to order lunch in advance which we did. 15 USD for chicken, 25USD for fish, and 35 USD for seafood platter per person. We ordered fish and seafood platters. They took us to a hut without any restroom facility with stray dogs and porta potty! For that cost, we should at least have a decent restroom and a place to wash our hands at least! 4. With the price, which we paid for in advance, they didn't even give the correct order for lunch. They initially all gave us chicken which we then complained and got what we wanted after 45 min of waiting in sun in a run down hut with stray dogs, constantly harassed by vendors. 5. After lunch, they brought us to "private white beach", which was a very small strip of regular sand beach with trash laying around. They couldn't even get near the beach so we had to swim to the beach! Only to find out that there was so much trash everywhere. When I booked this "family boat tour", I specifically asked for English speaking guide for the family oriented activities. It was USD 510 and I was willing to pay for a private tour with english speaking guide. I was so uncomfortable with the whole experience that I was willing to pay double that amount to just get out of the experience. I went with this tour company thinking that it got good reviews. I am not sure if this is just the entire Cartagena city which is trying to just rip off the tourists and not provide with any good experience. We will definitely not be coming back. I would stay away from this company.

Kate built a customized six day itinerary for us that included incredible private tours (a must with little kids)! She took care of every detail with the help of her amazing colleague, Luisa. They really made everything so easy for us and gave us the best time in Cartagena. Would recommend 1000%!

Experiencia fantástica: What can I say? Hi Cartagena’s beach club is where it’s at!! Kate and her team worked so hard to make this experience something out of this world!! She gave us so many surprises from having a DJ, bringing the molecular mixologists from Elixir to the center pieces in the table settings for our lunch. Like Wow the food, the drinks, the pool was everything we wanted and more! We felt like little kids playing in the water. This was one of the highlights of my wedding and the best pre-wedding event!

From day 1, planning activities was a breeze and communication was very smooth. Luisa was helpful throughout the weekend and made sure everything was perfect. When we went out, she made us feel safe and had tables set up for us before we arrived. She checked up on us and made sure the night went by seamlessly. She planned so many fun activities for us, as well as beautifully decorating our villa. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect trip and it wouldn’t have been successful without Luisa. We can’t wait to visit again!

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great time in Cartagena, Columbia. I used Hi Cartagena for ALL of my sights and adventures tours. I was traveling with a friend that was physically disable, and Hi Cartagena, was very accommodating to their needs and knowledgeable in expressing Cartagena history and culture.

Experiencia negativa: We were a group of 15 and we took three trips with this agency. While their presentation is great, make sure you read the fine print: they will start charging you once you arrive. They changed our final Bill several times and there’s definitely no attention to details. They are quite expensive: they charged us $15 usd for a vegan plate of some stale rice with fried plantains. They are not very scrupulous: the bizarre food tour was $120usd per person, so they made 1200usd off us. We were taken to three spots, every one of them had the same fried meat. They knew we had two vegans, they never mentioned there will be nothing except meat and water. They drove us for almost 2 hrs one way for some side of the road diner where we were offered more meat we didn’t even try. The bus didn’t have a/c and the day was a pure physical torture. Their bora bora vip tour is the only thing I can recommend, but then everyone on the island offers the same. I am sorry I decided to go with that company since they also wasted hours of my time with meaningless communication: instead of trying to resolve many many issues that arose, they kept writing to me how great their company was and how happy everyone is. I guess people just don’t want to deal with that during their vacation. It was my 50th birthday. They made sure it wasn’t too enjoyable.

I booked an entire vacation package for 10 people and it was very easy to customize the options with the HiCartagena team. Jesús, our concierge, was with us for most of the trip and is an incredible person. Extremely friendly, super responsive, and is able to accomplish any task rapidly. He booked multiple restaurants for us, booked a hotel room for one of the guests very last minute, and bought us whatever we needed for the house. Jesús made the trip so effortlessly enjoyable. Our yacht trip to Cholón was definitely the highlight for me. Overall, one of my favorite vacations, and the best place for a bachelor party!

Experiencia negativa: Borderline fraudulent operation, beware! The company had no issue taking my money online for an apartment rental for a stay in Cartagena. After booking, I reached out to asked about the general location of the apartment, and that's when the red flags started. First, they didn't want to chat on their website, and asked if we could what'sapp, so I said sure, no problem. Then upon chatting, they wouldn't answer my question about location, and then said they needed to check on availability. Red flag #2, why allow me to book, AND take my money, if you don't know about availability. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I allowed them the time to check. Then no response. The next day, no response again, so I reached back out. They said they were still checking and when I asked when I would hear, they said 'mid-day'. That was 10 days ago. I reached out on Monday for a status, no response. Tuesday, no response. Finally today, when I suggested this was fraudulent, and I would be posting a review, they finally responded and without any explanation, apology or anything else, simply said, 'we will give the money back'. I'm not sure if the pandemic has caused them to lose sight of their values and mission, but for any future travelers, I urge caution with this company.

Hi Cartagena have arranged the party in very systematic and professional way, the food was amazing, the cocktails were arranged with bartender and food arranged to all people at perfect time and perfect supply. Experiencia fantástica: The boat excursion organized by Hi Cartagena is an absolute must for bachelor parties. We had a group of 7 from the US on a speed boat and we had an amazing experience. The trip took us to some great party locations and the crew was tremendous. Mila was our tour guide and she did an unbelievable job not only leading the tour but also negotiating all transactions in our behalf. She organised an excellent quote for us and was very prompt with all her replies. Unfortunately we were unable to have the wedding in Colombia due to the cost of flights for our guest but I would have no hesitation recommending her to anyone. Experiencia fantástica: I planned my 40 birthday trip to Cartagena this July and Hi Cartagena made everything amazing for me. The chef was amazing the photographer was hands down the best but our concierge Jesus was everything. It was 9 ladies and between Jesus and Joseph made us feel very safe took us all around the city and made sure we made it back safe. This was one of the best girls trips I’ve ever been on and I thank Hi Cartagena(Jesus and Joseph) for that. I never had to ask for anything because Jesus made sue everything was taken care of. For our party bus, we have Fernando as a host and he was amazing! Lots of fun and he took care of us! One word of caution: don’t eat the arepas at the bus stop lol. My girlfriend and I got super sick the next day! Jajajajaja Other than that, Hi Cartagena was a really good service for everything! A+

From the start Jesus was awesome with getting transportation scheduled and booked. There was a flight change and they had no issue with accommodating the change. Experiencia fantástica: Keirstin was amazing during our stay, his cooking is phenomenal. I highly recommend you ask for the arepa de huevo. He also was our bartender, margaritas were amazing. Also was our concierge, whatever we needed he made happen. Lastly he was always around no matter the hour day or night making sure we were taking care of. Honestly I dont Know how one person takes on so many jobs so successfully. Even when we ran into problems he made sure they were taken care out without a hitch. Highly recommend Keirstin.

Experiencia positiva: Great -affordable company! I reside in USA and decided to take a trip to Colombia for my 30th. Being from overseas- I was extremely cautious about potential scams…so I studied HiCartagena for a few months and spoke with Dhruv. Dhruv made everything extremely easy!! Any questions I needed answered- he delivered. Anything he didn’t know the answer to- he found out! Provided quality customer service the whole way. My crew and I rented a mini Yacht. The company itself is a 5 but I rated a 4 because of the boat vendor. He tried to drop us off a hour earlier and didn’t seem too friendly. Our concierge guy from HiCartagena was great too! MINOR misunderstanding at the beginning but that is human nature. It was a very fun experience and I will recommend to family, friends, and strangers !!! Experiencia fantástica: These guys knocked it out of the park. Andy who happened to be the sales guy that I dealt with was one of the best sales reps I have ever worked with. I have to mention I have been working in sales for quite some time and come into contact with many different personalities. Even once I was there and his job was "done" he still texted me every morning asking how the previous day went and if I needed anything. A constant point of contact with attention to detail. Rob and Juan our concierges handled any request we had on the drop of a dime. They were crucial to navigating the city and making sure we could enjoy ourselves without having to worry about anything. I have been fortunate to have been on many trips and these guys killed it. I would highly suggest going all out on the boat ( get the big boy ) and talk to them about a Private Island dinner after the day on the boat. Bravo gentleman. We already have guys in our group talking about going back, thank you for everything.

Sus hoteles, sus restaurantes, sus negocios y su gente son lo que lo hacen diferente al resto. Volviendo a que no es lo único por recorrer quisiera destacar el viaje en bote a las islas del rosario. El color de las aguas y la posibilidad de ver los peces de colores en los corales desde la superficie del agua me pareció un Bs experiencia increíble. La nota de color, la casa abandonada de Pablo Escobar y su avión hundido frente a ella, con la posibilidad de bucear hasta tocarlo fue espectacular. Experiencia fantástica: Bachelor Party Organized by Hi Cartagena - FANTASTIC We took a trip to Cartagena in mid-February (2022), we had a big part of 12 for a bachelor party. The bottom line : Hi Cartagena did a phenomenal job and really took care of us. I was the group organizer and I had contacted other companies about getting a package together for our group. Right from the beginning, Hi Cartagena replied quickly to my email and offered an itinerary for exactly what our group was looking for. I worked with Dhruv and he put together a custom itinerary for 4 days for our group. Traveling during the world during Covid/pandemic can be stressful and Hi Cartagena made everything so easy. They drove us/to from the airport and brought us to our house, which was a beautiful 11 bedroom mansion right in the heart of the walled city, pool, hot tub, AC, the whole 9 yards. They had a welcome dinner for us waiting too. We had a bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking concierge with us the whole time during the day and night time going out. He facilitated us always getting into any bar/club we wanted, getting us a table (which we all know can be a challenge for a very large group). They stocked the house with everything we needed (snacks, food, drinks etc). Hi Cartagena TAKES CARE OF YOU, with exceptional customer service. They are the definition of Colombian hospitality and make you feel welcome and safe. Special thanks to Dhruv for setting up our initial itinerary. Roberto for taking care of anything we needed. Ricardo our security at night who watched over us, housekeeping for always making us breakfast and keeping the house clean. And of course Juan, who was our main concierge and took care anything we needed but also hungout with us and really was part of our crew. Also, special mention to Sammy – who takes care of all the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff for Hi Cartagena that other people might now realize.
