Experiencia positiva: One of my most frustrating travels: Traveling half around the world to see the amazing colors of Caño Cristales I booked the 5D4N package for increasing my chances of good weather in the rainy season and made from the beginning clear that I want to see the colors. That's the main reason anybody from abroad comes here. The first full day it rained a lot all day, so no colors visible and high water levels. The second day still cloudy with some sunshine but still too high water levels. And then they tell me for the third day when it would be full sun, that we do a farmland trip with tubing. Though asking, they said they couldn't change it. I don't travel 10.000+ km to visit a farm and do tubing! They just totally ignored what I asked for, wasting my time and money. Being in the right place at the right time and they destroyed the chance by just booking me on the standard tourist adventure tour. Additionally the only Spanish speaking guide didn't explain anything. She was completely uninterested mainly playing with her phone most of the time. She didn't even tell about the schedule.

And please do visit Caño Cristales it's a place that must be seen place. Let support the region, town of La Macarena with friendly people and helpful people. It's breathtaking one in the world. No to oil freaking. Let's protect them
